As one of the eleven Investment Development and Trade Promotion
Centers, China (Egypt) Investment Development and Trade Promotion
Center (Egypt Center) was established by the ex-Ministry of Foreign
Trade and Economic Cooperation (Ministry of Commerce at present)
in Africa. It aims at the strategies of ¡°Step to the outside world¡±£¬¡°Diversification
of economy and trade¡± and ¡°Promotion of economic and trade cooperation
between Africa and China¡±. CNSC fulfills the practical construction
of Egypt Center. The functions and substantial businesses are: services
for consultations, information exchanges and receptions for Chinese
enterprises engaged in investments, joint-venture projects and exploitation
of resources throughout Egypt and its neighboring countries. Egypt
Center is regarded as a bridge of friendly communication between
Chinese and Egyptian enterprises in trade and economic cooperation.
The headquarters of Egypt Center is situated in the Nasser City-
a prosperous downtown district of Cairo, capital of Egypt. Inside
the headquarters, there are Business Center, Liaison Office of Development,
Commodity Exhibition Center and Reception Center offering accommodation
and catering services especially for Chinese visiting delegations.
The Reception Center is capable of providing complete services in
a whole package including the arrangement of invitation letters;
airport pick-ups and dispatches; hotel reservations, accommodations,
offices with convenient telecommunication devices; appointments
with relevant Egyptian national departments, association of entrepreneurs
and chamber of commerce; organization of various exhibitions, shows,
business talks; assistances to the delegations to do market research,
to visit clients and to tour around the places of historic interests,
etc¡ Since its establishment, Egypt Center has always been attaching
a top priority to the task of promoting Sino-Egyptian economic and
trade cooperation. It has organized about 50 big activities such
as promotional campaigns of various products, commodity exhibitions
and order-on-sample fairs, receiving about 500 business delegations
from China involving 3,000 people in terms of visiting times. These
activities help Egypt Center to achieve a good reputation and fame.
Egypt Center has invested in a bonded warehouse covering an area
of over 1000 square meters in Alexander Free Zone, which enables
it to render warehousing and transit services to Chinese companies.
Egypt is the most important partner of China in Middle East and
Africa. Through more frequent political and economical communications,
the mutual relationship of economic and trade cooperation between
China and Egypt will be further upgraded in the future. By working
steadily, Egypt Center is fully at disposal of its partners and
makes new contributions to promotion of the Sino-Egyptian economic
and trade relationship.
