With approval of former Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic cooperation (present Ministry of Commerce), CNSC Shanghai Service Center was set up in 1985 as a wholly-owned subsidiary of China National Service Corp. for Chinese Personnel Working Abroad, which is the earliest professional enterprise providing services for Chinese personnel working abroad in Shanghai.

The main business of CNSC Shanghai Service Center includes: supply of imported and domestic duty free commodities in accordance with rules of government; supply of aided materials of Chinese government, supply of life necessities for Chinese embassies, consulates and other diplomatic institutions abroad; clear-up customs services for import and export; transit business; warehousing and transportation etc.

CNSC Shanghai Service Center is strong in property value. The duty-free shop is located at Jiangning Road covering a commercial space of nearly 5,000 square meters. Since it’s so close to the busiest shopping street known as Nanjing Road, the value of its property is still increasing.
